Himpunan Belia Islam (HBI)
Himpunan Belia Islam (HBI) is an organization that started in 1972 and is concentrated towards the propagation of the Ahlul Bayt school of 
thought. HBI has about 200 registered members who consist mainly of the Malay/Muslim community and we serve the needs of the Shia community which includes the Iranians, Arabs, Pakistanis, Indians, Chinese and Africans in Singapore.

HBI operates from 2 centers and they are Imam Bargha and Husainiyah Az-Zahra. The building of Imam Bargha belongs to the prominent Jumabhoy family who allow our members to use its premises for our activities while Husainiyah Az-Zahra was acquired by HBI at the cost of $550,000 for a space of 100m2.
These centers are more than just a place of worship. It plays a multi-faceted role and serves as a focal point for religious activities, a place to congregate and socialize, an education center for our children and youths and a place for non-Shia members to come and learn about Shiism.
